Steve received both his finance and law degrees from the University of Michigan. He began his career at the national law firm Winston & Strawn, where he represented Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft and McDonald’s before going on to establish his own firm.
Over the course of his career, Steve has developed deep expertise in real estate development, economic development, and government affairs. His work spans municipal and regulatory strategy, zoning and land use, tax credit financing, public-private partnerships, and complex deal structuring. He also brings experience in mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and governance, financing, and business succession planning.
In his role as Vice President of Government Affairs for The Mill Group, Steve helps navigate the partnerships and processes that make long-term community investment possible.
